The Tunisian Ferjani Sassi, Zamalek’s midfielder, is subject to suspension for a period that can start from 8 games and reach 8 months, according to the sanctions list for the 2019-2020 sports season.
Ferjani Sassi said about the referee of Zamalek’s match against Al-Masry in the 31st round of the Egyptian We League, so Amin Omar declared a red card directly.
Ferjani Sassi raised his hand to the referee after being sent off, and in a way that relies on the referee’s report of the match to determine the decision for the Tunisian player’s infringement.
Article 3 of the regulations stipulates the controls related to the illegal entry of the match referee or one of his assistants.
The infractions and their sanctions stipulate the following:
– Unsportsmanlike behavior towards the referee, one of his assistants or one of the match organizing officials – Suspension of 4 matches and a fine of 50,000 pounds.
– Pay by hand to the referee, one of his assistants or one of the match organizing officials – 8 matches suspended and a fine of 100,000 pounds
– Insulting / spitting at the referee, one of the assistants or one of the match organizing officials – 8 matches suspended and a 100,000 pound fine.
– Attacking the referee, his assistants or one of the match organizing officials – 8-month suspension and 100,000 pounds fine.
Ferjani Sassi’s punishment depends on the match referee’s report, which he will send after the match and describes a full description of what the player said and what he did after that incident.
