Egyptian Mohamed Salah raised speculation about the possibility of his departure from his team, Liverpool, after a long dialogue he had recently with the Spanish newspaper “AS”.

Salah told AS: “Real Madrid and Barcelona are great teams. We never know what will happen in the future.”

The retired Egyptian star, Mohamed Aboutrika, close to Salah, increased these speculations, during recent statements in the media that his citizen feels resentment and anger towards the “reds”.

The former Egyptian Al-Ahly star said: “Liverpool are considering selling Salah for financial reasons.”

Aboutrika also revealed: “I have contacted Salah about his situation at Liverpool and he is upset, but it will never affect his performance on the pitch.”

He continued: “I know that Salah is not happy in Liverpool. He told me the reasons for his unhappiness, but they are secret and I cannot talk about them publicly.”

Aboutrika added that: “One of the reasons Salah was enraged was that he was not team captain against Denmark’s Metjeland in the Champions League.”

And the German Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool coach, decided to hand over the captaincy of the “Reds” to Trent Alexander-Arnold instead of Salah during the confrontation with the Danish team, on the last sixth day of the group stage of the “Champions League “.

However, the British newspaper “The Sun” indicated that Klopp and the club’s management are very happy with the Egyptian star’s remarkable level with Liverpool, indicating that they have no idea to do without him.

The Sun reported that with the Salah family settling in Liverpool, the incident is unlikely to force the Egyptian player to seek a transfer to another club.

Mohamed Salah, 28, who is currently the English Premier League’s top scorer with 13 goals, is tied to a contract with Liverpool until the end of June 2023.
