The pioneers of the social media site launched the Twitter hashtag, the hashtag stopped studying in Egypt, which topped the site within hours of its launch, and students and parents, through it, called the Ministries of Education and Higher Education to stop studying for fear of the spread of the Corona virus in light of its second wave.

While the response from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research came on its official page on the social network site, to the students, stressing that there is no intention to stop studying in Egypt, nor is there an intention to replace exams with research .

For its part, an official source from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research confirmed that universities have no intention of suspending studies, or decisions to postpone exams or replace them with research until now, but that they will be completed according to the hybrid education plan, indicating that The Supreme Council of Universities will hold its monthly meeting tomorrow at Fayoum University to discuss the fate of the first semester exams.

The source added that the meeting will address the form of examinations and procedures followed during this period in order to ensure the safety of students, indicating that the matter will proceed in accordance with the hybrid education plan.

The Council of Private and Private Universities today held a meeting chaired by Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Helmy Al-Ghar, Secretary of the Council of Private and Private Universities, and members of the Council, at the headquarters of the British University in Egypt in Al-Shorouk.
