Switzerland continues today, Wednesday, the trial of Qatari Nasser Al-Khelaifi, president of the French club Paris Saint-Germain and the “BN” media group, on corruption charges, and the court will hear Jerome Valcke, former FIFA secretary general.
The Al Arabiya delegate, citing judicial sources, claimed that “BN Sports” obtained the broadcasting rights by bribing Frenchman Valcke, and that “FIFA” documents accused Frenchman Valcke of breach of trust.

Al-Khalifi is expected to answer the corruption charges against him today, provided that the Swiss court hears witnesses related to this Qatari corruption scandal.
Qatari Nasser Al-Khelaifi, president of the French club Paris Saint-Germain and the “beIN” media group, and former general secretary of the French International Football Federation, Jerome Valcke, is represented before the Swiss judiciary in a case of corruption related to the granting of television broadcasting rights for the 2026 and 2030 World Cup finals.
Al-Khulaifi, 46, is on trial in this complex case, which is considered one of the corruption scandals that have rocked world football and its International Federation since 2015, on charges of incitement to dishonest mismanagement and faces a five-year prison sentence.

The Swiss prosecutor accused Al-Khulaifi of granting former FIFA Secretary General Jerome Valcke the right to use a luxury villa in Sardinia in exchange for his support to obtain television broadcasting rights for the World Cup finals (2026 and 2030) in the Middle East and North Africa regions.
The two men were initially prosecuted on charges of “private corruption” but this charge was dropped from the lawsuit following an agreement in late January between FIFA and the Qatari official, the provisions of which were not disclosed.
Therefore, they were presented with another charge, which is an unfair management, since the Swiss judiciary accuses Valcke of having reserved privileges that should have gone to FIFA, and Al-Khulaifi for inciting him to do so.
