Today Wednesday noon, Aden International Airport was in an appointment with the arrival of members of the new Yemeni government, before panic seized the scene after the violent explosions that shook the city.
Images broadcast on Arab satellite channels showed the arrival of the plane carrying the new government from Riyadh, and a few minutes after the plane landed, several explosions occurred amid panic and the flight of the attendees.

The “Al Arabiya” channel says that there were three explosions with mortar shells against the airport shortly after the plane landed, explaining that the explosion took place inside the Aden airport lounge before the ministers got off the plane.
Al-Arabiya added, according to his correspondent at Aden airport, that the accident caused a large number of deaths and injuries, including Aden’s Deputy Minister of Transport and another local official, and a large number of media crews who they were waiting for the plane.

For its part, “Sky News Arabia” said there were two explosions at the airport, one targeting the airport runway and the other at the Aden airport lounge. One of them, which took place near the area where the journalists are, resulted in the injury of his cameraman within the event.
The undersecretary of the Yemeni Ministry of Human Rights, Nabil Abdel Hafeez, confirmed to “Sky News Arabia” that the two explosions resulted in deaths and injuries.

The sources told “Sky News Arabia” that the Katyusha missiles also struck Aden airport, along with the two explosions.
The number of victims in the blasts has not yet been officially announced. A security and inspection campaign was also launched in the residential neighborhoods near the Aden airport and the number of checkpoints increased.
For their part, Yemeni media reported that the ministers of the new Yemeni government were transferred to the Al-Maasheeq Palace. This was after attacking them at Aden airport with mortar shells on arrival.
Yemen’s Information Minister Muammar Al-Eryani accused the Houthis of being behind the explosions, saying: “We assure the people of our great people that all members of the government are okay, and we affirm that the cowardly terrorist attack carried out by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia against the Aden airport will not deter us from fulfilling our national duty and that our blood and our souls will not be more valuable than our souls. Yemeni blood. “

The Yemeni minister added in a tweet on his official Twitter page: “We have mercy on the souls of the martyrs, and we wish the injured a speedy recovery.”
The new Yemeni government is supposed to start its work today, Wednesday, headed by Moein Abdul-Malik.
The new Yemeni government, consisting of 24 ministers, faces a number of challenges, the most prominent of which are: the challenge of security in the liberated areas, the integration of security services, as stipulated in the Riyadh Agreement, and the Military challenge of merging the military formations into the Ministry of Defense, as stipulated in the Riyadh Agreement.

On December 18 of this year, a Republican decree was issued to form a new Yemeni government and appoint its members.
According to a statement published by the Yemen News Agency, the decision to form the government was made after reviewing the “Constitution of the Republic of Yemen, the initiative of the Gulf Cooperation Council, the results of the comprehensive national dialogue and the Agreement from Riyadh “.
At the time, the head of the new Yemeni government, Maeen Abdulmalik, said: “We have great confidence in the sincere fraternal support of our brothers in the Kingdom and the countries of the coalition who support the legitimacy.”
He added in a tweet on his official Twitter account: “The declared government faces historical responsibilities and urgent and arduous tasks that require serious and determined work, a broad national vision, a clear and solid political and economic program, and a strong will to complete the end of the coup, restore the state and stability, build institutions, develop resources, tackle corruption and improve services. “
