The White House doctor said that the results of the Corona virus tests that the President of the United States, Donald Trump, “were negative for several days.”
This comes about ten days after the President of the United States announced that he and his wife, Melania, had been confirmed to have COVID-19.
Before Trump resumed his election campaign activities, White House physician Sean Conley said Trump’s Corona virus test results were negative for several days in a row, explaining that during these tests the “Abbott Binax Now” rapid test was used.
Conley added that the negative test results, along with other clinical and laboratory data, indicate the end of the period during which Trump would likely infect others.
The medical team treating Trump confirmed that “based on available data and according to the rules of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the president is no longer a carrier of the infection.”
The medical team’s statement was issued in conjunction with the United States President’s embarkation on Air Force One, which was en route to Florida to attend a major election event.
Trump resumed his campaign activities after a break of nearly ten days, to attend a campaign conference in Sanford, Florida.
Trump has faced criticism for not encouraging his supporters to wear masks during election conferences and other campaign activities.
Some also held him responsible for the fact that the work teams that surrounded him within the White House did not comply with the preventive measures and the rules of social distancing.
As a result, at least 11 Trump aides were infected with the Corona virus in the recent period.
The brief statement from the medical team treating the US president did not mention the health of his wife Melania.
