Statistics from Reuters revealed that Corona deaths around the world exceeded the one million mark on Tuesday, with a rising death toll amid accelerating injuries in several countries.
The number of deaths from coronavirus-related illnesses has doubled from half a million in just three months, and the list of deaths tops the list for the United States, Brazil and India.
Worldwide, more than 5,400 die every 24 hours, according to Reuters calculations based on the average number of deaths so far in September.
This equates to about 226 deaths per hour or one every 16 seconds. Watching a 90-minute soccer game, an average of 340 people die.
The United States, Brazil, and India account for about 45 percent of all Covid-19 deaths globally, while the Latin American region alone accounts for more than a third of deaths.
