The Arab Contractors Club clarified its position on the choice of clubs to participate in African competitions in the next season (2020-21), calling for the need to depend on the owners of the gold box for the current version of the league championship ( 2019-20), not the past.

The African Association Football Confederation “K” set the next October 20 as the date for the registration of the participating clubs in the African Champions League and the Confederation.

Mohsen Salah, head of the Arab Contractors, said in a telephone statement to Ontime Sports on Tuesday: “We will be subject to an injustice if we are excluded from participating in the African championships next season if the Football Association uses the league version. for the last season “.

He added: “We made a great effort this season and stayed away from a clear point difference with the competitors. We will not accept the wasted effort of an entire season. Canceling it will be unfair.”

He continued: “The solution is that we wait until next October 20, a few weeks before the league, to decide the teams classified for the African competitions, and the clubs must make an effort during that period to reserve a place for them in the gold square, regardless of the end of the Egyptian league. “

For his part, Mohamed Adel Fathi, general football supervisor of the Arab Contractors team, said: “We have a month and 20 days left, (we should not eat part of my time), and I ask the Football Association to calm down “.

Notably, the Arab Contractors, who ranked fifth in the Egyptian League last season, accumulated 40 points this season after 23 rounds of competition to currently rank fourth, giving their owner a chance to qualify for the Confederacy in the new season.
