Today Wednesday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 103 people recovering from the Coronavirus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical attention and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, raising the total of those 98,516 cases have been recovered from the virus to date.
Dr Khaled Mujahid, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesperson for the ministry, stated that 178 new cases were registered that tested positive for virus laboratory tests, as part of the necessary surveillance procedures, investigation and examination that the ministry carries out in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization, indicating the death of 13 new cases.
Mujahid said that according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
Mujahid said that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus as of Wednesday, is 105,883 cases, including 98,516 cases that have been cured and 6155 deaths.
