Dr. Tariq Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, announced, in a video message today, the schedule of research projects for students from years of transportation, which is a condition for the transfer of students (in third grade primary to third high school) for the next educational year
Dr. Tariq Shawky said the research project aims to teach students new skills that are (teamwork among students, self-reliance, research, analysis and linking of topics, and the method of formulating ideas) and other skills. necessary for our student students, and noted that research projects are a fundamental change in the assessment and education process for our student students.
Dr. Tariq Shawky pointed out several important points, as follows:
– Elementary stage (from third to sixth grade). The student chooses a research project from one of the 4 projects proposed by the Ministry of Education to implement it, and the project works alone or with a group of students (maximum 5 students).
– Preparatory stage (from first grade to third grade). The student chooses a research project from one of the 3 projects proposed by the Ministry of Education to implement it, and undertakes the project alone or with a group of students (maximum 5 students).
The elements of the research project consist of: (title, introduction, summary, topic, results or notes, references) in addition to writing the identification number (code) for the students who participated in the preparation of the project.
– Each topic of the research project proposed by the Ministry is accompanied by general instructions on how to implement it, in addition to designing forms for the research project to facilitate the matter to the student through which they can complete the fields with what is required according with the subject of the investigation.
– All the topics proposed for the research project were chosen based on the learning results of each academic stage and have a reference in the school book and in the electronic library (https://study.ekb.eg), and the student implements the research project during the period from April 9 to May 15, 2020 (duration 5 weeks)
– Delivery of the research project: there are two ways, the first is to send the research project electronically through the communication platform (https://edmodo.org), and the second is to write the research project by hand and convert it to electronic format (electronic image “scanner”) and upload it to CD or flash and deliver it to school
Dr. Tariq Shawqi, Minister of Education, also reviewed the criteria for evaluating projects and considering them (acceptable or unacceptable) as follows:
– Write an attractive title for the project
Presentation of the project in an organized way according to the prefabricated models.
– Use concepts from different subjects, either from the school book or from the digital library.
The number of words specified for each research project.
Commitment to all aspects of the research project.
Observe the grammar and spelling rules and punctuation marks.
– The project will be rejected if it coincides with another project or if it is proven that someone else wrote it, in which case the student will have to take an exam at the beginning of the next academic year as a substitute for this project.
Dr. Tariq Shawky also announced a new surprise from the Ministry of Education and Technical Education for our students’ students, which is the “Live Broadcast Platform for Virtual Classes” to broadcast reviews and lessons for high school students (third grade) and secondary stage (first, second and third grade), respectively, using the latest technical means, and the rest will be added. Shawky added that the platform is equipped with a schedule for broadcasting private lessons for each academic stage in virtual classes, noting that the virtual classroom has a capacity of 10,000 students and that these lessons will be recorded and posted on the ministry’s website.
Shawky sent a message to students and parents saying, “We do our best and work day and night to come up with the simplest ways to educate students, so the Ministry will take strict action against those who exploit students in research projects. “
