Today, Thursday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 99 people in recovery from the Corona virus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, raising the total of those who recover from the virus to 99,273 cases to date.
Dr Khaled Mujahid, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesman for the ministry, stated that 179 new cases were recorded that tested positive for virus laboratory tests, as part of the necessary surveillance procedures, investigation and examination that the ministry carries out in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization, indicating the death of 13 new cases.
Mujahid said that according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
“Mujahid” affirmed that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new corona virus until today Thursday is 107,209 cases, including 99,273 cured cases and 6,247 deaths.
