Patrice Carteron, the new technical director of Saudi Cooperation, said that his departure from Zamalek in the last period came because he did not accept being treated inappropriately and wanted to work in good condition.
In his remarks during the press conference for the cooperation match against Iran’s Persepolis, Carteron said: “I don’t want to talk about these matters. This is football. When the club president fires a coach it is not a problem, then why is there a problem when the coach does the same? “
“I just want to focus on managing my team, and that’s part of soccer.”
And he added: “Coaches who accept being treated inappropriately, I am not among them and I want to work in good conditions, so I decided to accept this challenge and I realize the difficulty of the challenge.”
He concluded: “I know that the team is going through difficulties at the moment, and the situation is very critical and the team has lost games in the last period, but I will try to raise the level of the team during the next few weeks.”
Carterón left Zamalek a few days ago, paying the penalty clause stipulated in the contract with the team.
