Patrice Carteron, technical director of the Saudi Cooperation Club, revealed the reasons for his sudden departure from Zamalek training, during the last hours, and the termination of his contract.

And the cooperation suffered its first loss under Carton’s coaching, on Friday night, with a clean goal, against Iran’s Persepolis in the AFC Champions League.

“Leave Zamalek? When a club president fires 25 coaches in two years, isn’t that a problem? … But when a coach leaves the team, why is there a problem?”

He added: “I am not satisfied that I am being treated poorly. I want to work under normal conditions, so I accepted this challenge despite its difficulty.”

He continued: “I know that the team has been bad in recent weeks and that things are not going well.”

“But it is a new challenge for me and I am motivated to face it,” he stressed.

He concluded: “We realize that the situation is very critical and that the team has lost many games recently, but I will try to get the team back in the coming weeks.”
