The African Football Confederation, “CAF”, officially announced the final sanctions of the African Champions League against the clubs Al-Ahly and Zamalek in an official statement on its website, in which it was confirmed that Mustafa Mohamed, Hussein Al- Shahat and Kabongo Kasongo be suspended for 4 games in addition to a series of other penalties.
The African Union statement was as follows:
Case No. 1. The final match of the 2019/2020 Champions League – Zamalek (Egypt) vs Al-Ahly (Egypt) at the Cairo Stadium on November 27, 2020
1. At the end of the match, Zamalek player No. 15 Mostafa Mohamed Ahmed and Al-Ahly player No. 14 Hussein Al-Shahat were found guilty of exchanging blows with each other, sparking an argument between the rest of the two apparatuses and the players of the two clubs. Both players were sent off by the referee and were automatically suspended for two games.
2. Zamalek Kabongo Kasungu player No. 02 was reportedly convicted of assaulting an opposing team at the end of the match.

– In terms of articles 82, 83.1, 83.2 and 128 of the Appropriate Discipline Regulation
– The CAF Disciplinary Committee decided to impose the 15th Zamalek player, Mostafa Mohamed, to suspend four (4) matches. Since the player has not yet executed any of his match suspensions, he will have to apply the 4-match suspension penalty in the next four matches.
The CAF Disciplinary Committee decided to impose on No. 02 Kabongo Kasungu a four (4) match sanction. Consequently, Kabongo Kasungu was suspended for his four (4) matches coming from CAF club competitions.
In addition, the CAF Disciplinary Committee decided to impose a fine of $ 10,000 on the Zamalek club for the behavior of its players.
