President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met today with Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Eng. Khaled Fouda, Governor of South Sinai, Major General Mohamed Shousha, Governor of North Sinai, Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Urban Planning, Mr. Mohamed Shawky, Head of the National Authority for the Development of the Sinai Peninsula, Major General AH Ahmed Ismail, Deputy Chief of Engineering for Sinai Development Projects, and Major General Ihab Ebeid, Chief of the Licensing Unit of the Aut ority of Engineering.
The official spokesperson for the Presidency of the Republic indicated that the meeting dealt with the follow-up of the new controls and building requirements at the Republic level, as well as the executive charge for the establishment of Bedouin communities in the Sinai.
The President was informed about the efforts to formulate the new integrated system of planning and controls and construction requirements, and the organizational and operational procedures that will be followed for the issuance of construction permits, and what has been done in this framework with the aim of governing the construction system in Egypt in a clear framework characterized by planning and organization in accordance with the law and correct engineering codes.
The President ordered that this system be the beginning of a new era of controlled urban expansion on constructive scientific bases to reorganize the construction process and end the existing condition of randomness, highlighting the importance of the participation of all competent executive authorities to implement the system in the field.
Regarding the state strategy for the integral development of Sinai; The President was briefed on the executive position to establish Bedouin communities with integrated services in North and South Sinai, including the total number of localities and their areas, the proposed population distribution, construction costs, sources of funding and the supply of irrigation water for agriculture and various productive activities. The results of the community dialogue that took place in this regard were presented. With the people and citizens of the north and south of Sinai, to know their requirements and needs, so that the focus is on development activities that are adapted to each group according to the geographical distribution and the comparative advantages they enjoy.
In this context, the President ordered the immediate start of the implementation of the Bedouin communities project to support the people of the Sinai Peninsula from all sides, providing them with the best community services, providing the necessary infrastructure, water resources and administrative buildings with integrated services, in addition to designating a responsible administrative structure in each community, to In addition to formulating the production system for each Bedouin community according to the results of the opinion survey according to the real needs of the population, as part of the state comprehensive development strategy for Sinai.
In relation to the integral development of Sinai; The president also briefed the president on the progress of work on the water supply works for developing communities in Central and North Sinai, and the cultivation of around 500 thousand feddans by transferring water from the Bahr Al- Cow to selected land for cultivation. That these gatherings are full of staff and services, while providing them with administrative entities for the service of government agencies to facilitate dealing with citizens.
