The Sunday Telegraph newspaper reported that British government ministers are planning a “billion pound” bailout package for industries hardest hit by Brexit without a deal.
The newspaper said the proposals include deals for sheep farmers, hunters, automakers and the supply of chemicals whose trade will be disrupted or tariffs will be imposed from the European Union after Jan.1, and the package is expected to include between 8 billion and 10 billion pounds, according to Russia Today.
He added that British ministers had warned supermarkets about food storage, amid the prospect of a no-deal Brexit, on fears of shortages as talks with the European Union continue to face a dead end.
The newspaper reported that British Prime Minister Boris Johnson will take over the planning process if Britain chooses not to reach an agreement and will chair the Exit Committee to prepare a response.
The report added that ministers asked companies supplying drugs, medical devices and vaccines to store the equivalent of 6 weeks’ consumption in safe places in Britain.
