The Ministry of Health and Population announced, this Tuesday, that 401 recoveries of the Corona virus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, raising the total of 107,563 cases have recovered from the virus to date.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesman for the ministry, stated that 788 new cases were registered that were positive in laboratory analysis of the virus, as part of the necessary surveillance procedures, investigation and examination that the ministry carries out in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization, indicating the death of 37 new ones.
Mujahid said that according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
“Mujahid” stated that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus as of Tuesday is 127,061 cases, including 107,563 cases that have been cured and 7,167 deaths.
