The Ministry of Health and Population announced this Wednesday that 233 recoveries of the Corona virus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical attention and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, raising the total of those who have recovered from the virus to 133,331 cases to date.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, Advisor to the Ministry of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesman for the ministry, said that 610 new cases were registered that tested positive for the virus laboratory tests, as part of the necessary surveillance, investigation and Examination procedures carried out by the ministry according to World Health Organization guidelines point to the death of 53 new cases.
Mujahid said that, according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
“Mujahid” stated that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus as of Wednesday is 171,390 cases, including 133,331 cured cases and 9,804 deaths.
The Ministry of Health and Population continues to make preparations in all the provinces of the Republic, closely monitors the situation of the “emerging corona” virus and takes all necessary preventive measures against viruses or infectious diseases.
