The French government issued several warnings to its citizens around the world, with international anger escalating against them, to support the French government for insulting the cartoons of the greatest prophet, peace be upon him, according to separate media reports.
The French Embassy in Turkey advised its citizens to exercise caution and avoid public gatherings, lest things turn into something that could get worse, and the French Foreign Ministry asked French citizens in Indonesia, Bangladesh, Iraq and Mauritania to be careful.

French officials asserted their right to display the cartoons in an act that defies Muslim sentiments, after an 18-year-old extremist student of Chechen origin cut off the head of a high school teacher to show his students images as part of a civics lesson.
Muslims viewed the cartoons as blasphemy, and in several Muslim countries, there were verbal attacks against French leaders, accusing them of being anti-Islamic and calling for a boycott of French products.
On Tuesday, the website of the French Foreign Ministry published new security tips for the citizens of Indonesia, Bangladesh, Iraq and Mauritania, warning them to be vigilant.
Furthermore, the French embassy in Turkey issued similar advice to its citizens there.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has been a vocal critic of the French government.
The warnings said that French citizens should steer clear of any protests over fees and avoid public gatherings.
“In this context, it is recommended to exercise the greatest vigilance, especially during travel and in places frequented by tourists or expatriate communities,” said the directives.
