Today, 14 passengers on the Mansoura-Matareya train suffered fainting, bruises, abrasions and suspected fractures as a result of their fall in the last car of the train after the train collided from behind with the station barriers due to a diversion error at the Go backwards.

Major General Raafat Abdel Baath, Dakahlia Security Director, received a notification from Major General Mustafa Kamal, Investigation Director, of a report to the emergency police about a train accident at Mansoura train station.

Investigative officers and ambulances moved to the scene, and it was found that the last car of the Mansoura rain train collided with the station barrier as the driver was returning to the station to stop inside the station as a result of not operating the shunt, causing the passengers of the last vehicle to fall over each other inside the vehicle and a state of panic and fear among the passengers.

A security source confirmed that the train did not derail, but the collision caused panic among the passengers, in addition to the occurrence of applications in the last car as a result of the collision, and there were no losses of life.

Dr. Saad Makki, undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, announced that 9 ambulances were pushed to the scene of the accident, which caused the injury of 14 people with fainting, contusions, abrasions and suspected fractures as a result of falling on each other inside the vehicle, and all were transferred to the Mansoura International Hospital for treatment and first aid.

A report on the incident was released to the Transport Police and will be submitted to the Public Ministry for investigation.

The same train is reported to have witnessed two accidents last week in Dakahlia, which resulted in the death of a young man and the amputation of the arms of an Al-Azhar high school student as a result of falling under its wheels.
