The execution by the Iranian regime of the death sentence against the young fighter, Naid Afkari, continues to gain great interaction, and in the last chapters of this case, Iranian activists published on the communication sites a voice recording of a telephone conversation between my thoughts and his brother Saeed, hours before the execution.
This is the last phone call from #NavidAfkari with his family, without even knowing that the next morning he would be executed. Iranians have heard this conversation for the first time today. Poor Navid was hoping he wouldn’t be executed. pic.twitter.com/Y012oMxsuY

In the call to his brother, Afkar said that he was going to be transferred to a prison in Tehran; He also revealed that the head of the prison guard, Khadim al-Husseini, played an important role by beating and torturing him and his brothers.
Transfer to a prison in Tehran
The young fighter confirmed, in this phone call, that Khadim al-Husseini, the head of the prison guard, was involved in beating him and his brothers while they were being transferred from one wing to another in Shiraz prison. He also said that prison officials informed him that he would be transferred to a prison in Tehran, but did not mention the name of that prison.
He added in the recorded call that his two brothers were examined and examined by a forensic doctor in the presence of the Chief Judge of the province of Fars, in southern Iran.
Assault on the three brothers
Last Thursday night, the security forces beat Nuwaid, Habib and Waheed Afkari and transferred them from their forewings to another location.
Earlier, Hassan Younsi, my lawyer, had announced that the convict’s right to a final hearing on his execution had not been respected.
The lawyer, Babak Pak Nia, also said that Naid Afkari called his family the night before the execution at 11:30 and spoke with them, and “this shows that the situation was normal until then”. According to this audio file, doctors examined and filmed between ten and fifteen parts of his body showing signs of torture and beatings. He said during his phone call that he is being held in the “basement” of the Adel Abad prison.
International condemnation
It is noteworthy that Noeed’s execution required widespread international condemnation over the past two days, from the European Union and the United States, through France, Germany and other European countries.
Notably, Iran announced on Saturday the implementation of the death sentence against Afkari, in a move that “shocked” the International Olympic Committee.
The 27-year-old fighter was arrested in September 2018, accused of having stabbed to death a government official in the city of Shiraz (south) in the Iranian province of Fars.
And his case came to light earlier this month, with the confirmation of a death sentence for having convicted him of first-degree murder.
