Mohamed Barakat, director of the Egyptian national soccer team, revealed that there is a group of players from the Olympic team among the options of the coaching staff led by Hossam Al-Badri.
Barakat added, in statements to the official website of the Football Association on Thursday, that there is full coordination with Shawky Gharib, the Olympic coach, on the elements to be used in the next camp.
According to Barakat, the most prominent names are: Mustafa Mohamed (Zamalek player) – Ahmed Abu Al Fattouh (Smouha player) – Taher Mohamed Taher (Arab Contractors player) – Akram Tawfiq (El Gouna player) – Ramadan Subhi (player from Pyramids).
Barakat explained that these players are highly likely to be on the roster of the next Egyptian team, noting that the local roster will be officially announced after all matches are over.
The Egyptian team, led by Hossam El-Badry, released the list of professionals, who will join the next camp in preparation for the Togo match, to be played (14-17) next November. (See details)
The Egyptian team opened their campaign in the group stage with a draw against Kenya with a goal for each team in a match played at the “Burj Al Arab” stadium, then the pharaohs drew negatively away from home against the Comoros team .
The Comoros team top the Group G standings with four points, followed by Kenya and Egypt equally with two points, then Togo with one point.
