I passed in Egypt a series of dialogues presented by Yalla Koura to his esteemed visitors in the holy month of Ramadan, in which we dealt with a number of players and coaches who passed through Egypt at one point out of professionalism at one of their clubs, and passed a period of his departure, and we review how his days were in Egypt.
Yalla Koura met in a new episode of the series “I Passed Egypt” Bakamani Mahlambe to talk about her experience with the team and to leave after a short period to play in the ranks of the South African Sundowns.
Here are the details of the interview:
How did you join my family?
The matter came through Al-Ahly negotiations with the Bidvest Wits administration I was playing for, they made an official offer to the club and they offered it to me and I accepted.
How did you react to the idea of playing for Al-Ahly?
I was very happy and never thought twice about agreeing to play for Al Ahly.
Do you remember your first contact with Hussam Al-Badri (then technical director)? What did he say?
He told me, you are a great player, we need to be with us in the team, we realize that you are young, but we will take care of you so that you are in the best conditions.
Do you think Al-Badri gave you a chance to prove yourself?
No, not at all, you needed more time to play on the team.
And what did they tell you when I asked for more opportunities?
Hussam Al-Badri has always asked me to do more to participate.
But do you think you had some problems due to the cultural differences between Egypt and South Africa?
Yes, the treatment was not good for me.
Can you explain what happened?
They did not keep the promises they made to me, they promised me to stay in a house so that my wife could visit me, but that did not happen.
But some said that you were not a professional in your private life and faced some problems due to your behavior outside the club. What is your answer?
No, all who say this are liars.
How did you decide to leave the club?
I was not happy with my team’s position, and the Sundowns came and made a very good presentation for me and my manager, so we decided to agree.
Who was the best Al-Ahly player while you were with the team?
I am
So how did you feel facing Al-Ahly in 2019?
I was very happy, because I knew his weaknesses, and I even gave the technical director advice on this.
What was your advice to the technical director?
I will not reveal it.
What do you think when you scored your goal in the match?
It was a message to their negative thoughts about me after they decided to resign to return to my country without believing in my ability to benefit the team.
After your successful experience with Al Ahly, would you like to return to Egypt through Zamalek?
I will be very happy …
But in your opinion, what gave Al-Ahly the edge over the Sundowns this year?
The coach did not respect them, so our main formation in the match was not the same level as the team last year.
Don’t you think Al Ahly was technically better?
Of course.
What is your message to Al-Ahly fans two years after leaving the club?
I still love them, they have to continue supporting the players and the team as they always do.
