Aston Villa training ground closed after Corona outbreak

The English club Aston Villa, a professional within its Egyptian duo Ahmed Al-Mohamadi and Mahmoud Hassan “Trezeguet”, announced the closure of the “Bodemor Stadium” at the team’s training venue, following the outbreak of the Corona virus in the club’s ranks .

In an official statement on its website, the English club said: “Aston Villa announces the closure of the training ground following a major outbreak of the Corona virus.”

The statement added: “A large number of first team players and club employees have tested positive for the Corona virus, after being routinely tested last Monday, and all went into self-isolation.”

He continued: “The players were subjected to a second test, and today’s result revealed that many more people are positive.”

He concluded: “First team training was canceled before tomorrow’s match against Liverpool in the FA Cup, and discussions are currently taking place between the club’s medical officials and the English Football Association.”

He was scheduled to face Aston Villa on Friday night against Liverpool in the third round of the FA Cup.

It should be noted that the Football Association announced today, Thursday, the postponement of the Southampton and Shrewsbury match within the same tournament, following the outbreak of the Corona virus in the last rows of the club.
