Ghanaian Benjamin Achimbong, a former Zamalek player, announced that he had obtained a judgment against the White Castle, issued by the International Court of Sports, for him to receive large financial contributions.

According to the Ghana Professional Players Association website, the former Zamalek player obtained a ruling against the club after years of legal dispute between the two parties.

According to the released statement, Achimbong received a judgment to obtain financial compensation, which was described as “large”, in addition to fining Zamalek for the value of attorneys’ fees and related expenses.

For his part, Ashimbong said: “I have been waiting for this moment for many years, waiting two and a half years for a year is not easy. They said about me that I was a problem just because I demanded my rights.”

He continued: “A lot of fake news about me was published in the media, and my response was always calm. I was patient until the truth came out. The soccer field proved to be real and Zamalek’s decisions are unacceptable.”

He concluded: “I want to focus on continuing my career now. I am in a position to become a professional soccer player. I would like to thank the Ghana Professional League who supported me, without them this case would not end.”

It should be noted that the contract that was signed between Zamalek and Ashimbong had been terminated, so the player would be free, before the player went to the International Sports Court to collect their fees.
