The Public Ministry begins its investigations into the death of two patients at the Zefta General Hospital due to lack of oxygen there.

The Public Ministry said in a statement that it had received a notification on January 1, 2021 of the death of a patient “in the intensive care unit of the General Hospital Zefta”, following a complaint for lack of oxygen in the hospital and negligence in its handling. The incident occurred intentionally or by negligence, and the cause of it.

The Public Ministry also requested the files of the deceased patients in the hospital and the investigations of the Criminal Investigation Department, and summoned the relatives of the deceased to question them, and the investigations are being completed.
