In turn, Rita Katz, director of the SITE website that tracks the activities of terrorist organizations and extremist movements, posted a tweet on her Twitter account early Saturday morning, in which she noted the dissemination of reports that the leader of al-Qaeda Ayman al-Zawahiri had been assassinated a month ago as a result of illness, adding that the organization had not yet confirmed the matter.

However, at the same time, he mentioned several times that prominent leaders of the organization were assassinated, and the latter did not confirm the news until months later.

He explained that al-Qaeda used not to publish any news about the death of its leaders when it happened, for example, the organization never confirmed the death of Hamza bin Laden despite the confirmation of the then United States Secretary of Defense, Mark Esper, of who was assassinated during his remarks in August 2019, as well as when the leader known as Azzam also passed the year 2015, it took him five months to admit his death.
