Screenwriter Amr Mahmoud Yassin spoke about the last moments in the life of his late father, the great artist Mahmoud Yassin.
Speaking to Sherif Amer’s “Happening in Egypt” show on Wednesday night, he said: “Dad has been suffering from severe pneumonia twice in the last month.”
He added: “We wonder, are these symptoms of the Corona virus?” The doctors’ response was that it was a microbe, not a crown, that caused the pneumonia, which is definitely a risk at that age.
He continued: “After a while, he began to recover from the inflammation and the temperature gradually decreased, and he began to recover and reached a good stage, but suffered a setback in a day and a night, after he got in touch with the whole family to reassure us about him. ”
He continued: “In the last days they put him on a respirator and he suffered a sharp drop in blood pressure, and his pulse was very weak, until his soul ascended to Almighty God.”
On the other hand, Amr Mahmoud Yassin said: “On the level of his work, he was exceptional. He fulfilled his role, and it was time to relax and find himself with his Lord. He was also exceptional as a father and head of the family.”
He noted that the funeral will be on Thursday at the Police Mosque in Sheikh Zayed, after the noon prayer, after which the body will be buried in the family cemetery on Fayoum Road.
