Al-Sisi ordered a new traffic corridor to be named “Abe Shinzo” in eastern Cairo.

President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi led the implementation of a new traffic corridor linking the Al-Shaheed corridor with the Suez Highway, to be called the “Shinzo Abe axis”, the former Japanese Prime Minister, with the organization of that area according to an advanced engineering and construction scheme, and the conversion of high-pressure power lines in the region from pneumatic to floor.

This came during his meeting with Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Urban Planning, General Staff Harb Ihab Al-Far, Chairman of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority, General of division Khaled Bakri, chief of the engineering advisory office, and Brigadier General Abdulaziz Al-Fiqi, chief of road design in the Department of Military Engineers.

Ambassador Bassam Radi, official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, said that the meeting addressed the follow-up of the developments of the projects of the road network and new axes in the governorate of Cairo, as well as a series of national projects at the level of the Republic.

Within this framework; The executive position of the set of roads, axes and bridges under construction in the framework of the various stages of development in East Cairo, especially in the Nasr City and Suez Bridge areas, and the plan to link Adli Mansour station with the airport, as well as the architectural and construction development underway within the framework of the general plan of the land surrounding the axes of the Cairo Airport.

The President also ordered to take into account the provision of all integrated services to citizens in the different main axes that are being developed and those that have already been carried out, including gas stations, in order to provide safety and protection factors to the citizens, as well as the return on investment and job opportunities of this scheme.

The president was also informed about the new design models developed for private universities, in addition to the construction and implementation of a series of projects in the New Administrative Capital and the city of Galala, where the president guided the application of the established standards providing attention to civil coordination and increasing green spaces and crops, and achieving the greatest possible expansion of roads and traffic lanes.
