President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi conducted an inspection tour of the western arc sectors of the Middle Ring Road as an extension of his previous series of tours that included monitoring the progress of work and completion rates for all Sectors of the central ring road linking the cities east and west of Cairo from the intersection of the Belbeis Ismailia agricultural road in the east, to the Dabaa axis in the west over 156 km and a width of 16 lanes traffic with 8 lanes in each direction, making it the widest axis of highway networks in the Middle East region, serving tens of thousands of vehicles per day, and significantly contributing to reducing congestion on the road. traffic and reduce the time of the daily commute of the citizens through the areas of Greater Cairo and to achieve a fluidity and speed of movement and reduce Car Accidents and saves fuel cost, and integrates with the requirements of the comprehensive development process, as the central ring mediates the southern geographical area that stretches between the regional ring road and the ring road surrounding Greater Cairo, to be a large addition to the system of the road network and the new axes and give a qualitative leap in traffic movement.

Ambassador Bassam Radi, official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, said that the tour included the start of the integrated development process for the Al-Matareya area and the new Muhammad Al-Assar corridor in the area, which is one of the major transit arteries connecting eastern Cairo with the Shubra Benha, and Rawd Al-Farag-El-Dabaa axes, characterized by many shorts. The travel time from the capital Cairo in a northwesterly direction to El-Dabaa, then Matrouh, and has the advantage of having a number of integrated service centers, gas stations and rest stops for travelers on both sides of road.

The president stopped during the inspection tour to talk about the workers and officials at several different job sites in the vicinity of the Haram area, the roads of Fayoum, Aswan and the Middle Ring, as he ordered that all the canals and drains of the region are cleaned and aligned, and that the roads and drains in the area are cleaned and improved within the national canal lining project, coinciding with the opening of the highway. The Middle Circle, and the President also reported on the progress of the executive steps in force for the construction, highlighting the established principles of adhering to the schedules marked for the completion of work and with high technical and engineering specifications, as well as the precise application of precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the Corona virus, in the interests of the health and safety of workers.
