President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from President Cyril Ramaphosa, President of the Republic of South Africa, tonight.
The Spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic stated that the call dealt with the developments of the Renaissance Dam file, in light of the African Union, led by South Africa, of the tripartite negotiations between Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia.
President El-Sisi reaffirmed Egyptian principles regarding the Renaissance dam, especially regarding the resumption of tripartite negotiations to formulate a binding and comprehensive legal agreement among all interested parties on the rules for the filling and operation of the dam. , and rejecting any action or procedure that affects Egypt’s rights over the waters of the Nile.
