Referee expert Ahmed El Shennawi confirmed that the referee for the Zamalek-Enppi match did not count two penalties against the white team during the match.

The Zamalek club beat Enppi, by two goals to one, tonight, Saturday, within the framework of the fifth round matches of the Egyptian We League, at the Petrosport Stadium.

“In the 22nd minute, Karim Fouad, Enppi’s player, fell into the penalty area after being pushed by Zamalek player Imam Ashour, and this was a clear penalty kick that was not awarded to the oil team,” said El Shennawi in statements to the Tala fan program on On Time Sports.

He added: “Enppi’s player pay was very clear, but the referee may not have seen the player because one of the Zamalek players was in front of him to block the view, but it was necessary to go back to the video referee.”

He explained, that the VAR referee is equivalent to the assistant referee in the match, and must intervene in said balls to resolve them, so the Enppi player was clearly pushed into the penalty area.

He noted that in the second half there was a second ball for Enppi, which was also not considered by the referee, after Tariq Hamid pushed Mustafa Shalaby with his hand.

He concluded his comments: “Tariq Hamid used his hand to push Enppi’s player, and this pushed the player off balance, so there was a second penalty kick that was not counted.”

Enppi’s balance froze four points from a win, a draw and two losses, to rank 14, respectively, with Egypt, punt and war production.
