The Egyptian National Rail Authority announced today, Sunday, that as train 983 Aswan / Cairo entered Abu Tisht station in Qena governorate, the commander of the train was shocked to see a woman throwing herself onto the railway, and added that the driver acted with speed and full vigilance. so that he could in Rabat and stop the train before entering the station to avoid running over the lady who threw herself in front of him to make sure of her life.
According to a statement from the Railway Authority, the people who witnessed the incident took the woman off the train track, and then continued her journey to the station without suffering injuries or damage.
The authority confirmed that the woman who threw herself onto the track was handed over to the Abu Tasht police station.
For its part, the authority praised the vigilance and performance of the train conductor for his commitment to work and his eagerness to follow the instructions that regulate the circulation and safety of trains, explaining that the entire team, the Minister, the Minister of Transportation, he had ordered the train commander to be honored and rewarded, as he would be honored in the office of the head of the Railway Authority.
The National Railways of Egypt urged citizens to follow the safety instructions when passing through the railways to preserve their lives and the safety and regularity of the train’s course.
