Al-Masry Club Al-Port Said announced its contract with Ahmed Refaat in a final transfer agreement from Zamalek for a period of three seasons, from the 2020/2021 season to the end of the 2022/2023 season.

Al-Masry said, in an official statement Friday, that the board of directors headed by Samir Halabiya completed the agreement after coordinating with technical staff led by Ali Maher.

The club added that Ahmed Refaat signed his new contract in the presence of the Hiring Committee, represented by Mohamed El-Khouly, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, Adnan Halabiya and Sherif Mazroua, members of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Club, who entered into lengthy negotiations with the Zamalek Board of Directors to hire the 27-year-old.

A source close to Rifaat confirmed in Laila Kora’s statements that there is a written tripartite agreement between Zamalek and Al-Masry, which gives the white club the right to get the player back, and that he has the right to buy back his contract.

Ahmed Refaat was inducted into the lower ranks of the Enppi Club, then moved to Zamalek in 2016, before being loaned out for the final 2019/2020 season to the Al Ittihad Alexandria team.

It should be noted that Rifaat joined all the ranks of the youth teams, and was one of the basic elements of the Egyptian youth team that won the African Nations Championship that was held in Algeria during the month of March 2013, and during the Summer of the same year, he participated in the final phase of the Youth World Cup held in Turkey.
