Abdel-Jalil Imam, football director of the Al-Ittihad Alexandria team, confirmed that player Nour El-Sayed did not appreciate the importance of the night’s clash between Al-Ahly and Al-Ittihad of Alexandria, so he was excluded from the team list.
Alexandria’s Al-Ittihad are preparing to face Al-Ahly in the 27th round of the Egyptian Premier League championship, in a match that Al-Ahmar need to win to secure their 42nd title in their history.
And in Laila Kora’s remarks, Abdel Jalil said: “Nour Al-Sayed excluded us from the match field because he did not appreciate the importance of facing Al-Ahly, and Al-Ittihad’s position in the league table.”
Abdul Jalil added: “Necessary action will be taken with Nour Al-Sayed after the match according to the regulations, but no other player has been excluded, and it is neither reasonable nor logical to be complacent in a match like this.”
The director of the Football Association concluded: “Al-Ahly’s game will be watched in its entirety by Egypt, and the player who does not take the matter seriously will be (ends himself).”
Nour El-Sayed was reportedly barred from the camp after he caused everyone to blur due to unprofessional actions in the campaign a few hours before facing Al-Ahly.
