Zoran Manulovic, coach of the Sudanese team Al Hilal, revealed that he had not applied for a contract with the Tunisian international Ferjani Sassi, a player of the Zamalek team.

The Sudanese team coach Al Hilal added, in statements on Wednesday’s “On Time Sports 1” screen, that he did not request a contract with Sassi or with other players, highlighting that his focus is on his team’s career in the competition groups of the African Champions League.

Ferjani Sassi was linked to moving to Al-Hilal due to the expiration of his contract next summer, allowing him to sign and negotiate from January, as long as the transfer is free after the end of the current season.

The Zamalek club is looking to renew Sassi’s contract because it is considered one of the essential elements after coming from Al-Nasr Saudi Arabia two seasons ago.

The former Primero de Augusto coach spoke about current Al-Ahly player Geraldo, saying: “Geraldo found it difficult with Al-Ahly because of the presence of great players in the team.”

“The dream is to win the championship, but the group is difficult and everything is possible,” concluded the Al Hilal coach, speaking about his team’s group in the Champions League.

Hilal is in the second classification of the group, with the Congolese Mazembe, the South African Sundowns and the Algerian JSB Belouizdad.
