Hossam El-Badry, technical director of the national team, today announced the names of the international players from the Zamalek ranks today, in order to join the team’s camp in preparation for the Pharaohs against Togo matches, scheduled for November 14 and 17. Zamalek’s roster of players is expected to include Muhammad Abu Jabal, Tariq Hamed, Mahmoud Alaa, Mahmoud Al-Wensh, Ahmed Sayed Zizou and Mustafa Muhammad.
Zamalek had reached the final of the African Champions League after defeating Moroccan Raja, in the second leg of the African Champions League semifinals, by three goals to one, so the Whites qualified for the final round of the Champions League competitions to face Al-Ahly on November 27.
Hossam Al-Badry had confirmed that the African final between Al-Ahly and Zamalek would have no impact on the national team, especially after it was postponed to November 27, praising the high morale of the Al-Ahly and Zamalek players.
Al-Badri revealed the reason for the exclusion of Ahmed Fathy, newcomer Al-Ahly, from Pyramids, and that for technical reasons, looking to the future, in light of the desire to build a good generation for the Egyptian team.
Hossam Al-Badri added, in a press conference yesterday, that there is a possibility that Kahraba, the Al-Ahly wing, will join the Egyptian team in the next period, noting that the accounts are all technical and nothing more, and there is the possibility of including Kahraba to compensate for Taher Mohamed Taher, Al-Ahly’s new injured player.
The Hossam El-Badry conference, which is currently underway, comes in light of the preparations being made by the pharaohs, as the first Egyptian football team led by Hossam El-Badry resumes training in preparation for Togo’s matches on November 14 and 17 in the third and fourth qualifying rounds for the 2020 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, where the Pharaohs host the national team. Togo at the first meeting, and the second meeting will be held in Togo on the 17th.
