In the words of our Master, the Messenger of God, “There are five martyrs: the one who is obedient, the one who suffers, the one who is drowned, the one who is destroyed and the martyr for God’s sake”:
And the pestilential, that is, the one who was afflicted by the plague, and also all those who died as a result of the epidemic, and for saying: “What do you consider a martyr in you?” Who are they, Messenger of God? He said: “He who dies for the cause of God is a martyr, and he who dies for the cause of God is a martyr, and he who dies in the plague is a martyr, and he who dies in the stomach is a martyr.” . And he added in the narration “A martyr” and drowned.
He explained that the Messenger of God, peace and prayers of God be upon him: “There is no slave to the plague.
And who dies with the Corona virus is included in the sentence of those who die from the plague, and Ibn Manzoor defined the plague in “Lisan al-Arab” as: “a generalized disease and an epidemic that spoils the air and spoils it”.
He pointed out that the martyrs are of two types: the martyr of this world and the Hereafter, and the martyr of the Hereafter, because the martyr of this world and the Hereafter is the one who died fighting against the enemies of religion and the homeland. , and the rule of this martyr is that he should not be washed or prayed. Rather, he is buried in his condition, and the second is the martyr of the Hereafter, as he is the one who died due to a specific reason from the group of reasons mentioned in the noble hadith, including death due to an epidemic such as the coronavirus. emerging (Covid-19). But they wash it, wrap it, and the funeral prayer is offered over it, and the mosque is not necessary for the funeral prayer to be valid, and it is permissible to pray it in hospitals, in the open air and in cemeteries.
