Al-Ahly’s competitor. Wydad ties with the Royal Army and loses his goalkeeper

The Moroccan Wydad Casablanca drew against the Royal Army on the 22nd matchday of the Moroccan League on Wednesday at the Prince Moulay Abdallah Sports Complex.

Al-Ahly will play Wydad in the semifinals of the African Champions League, and while the official dates announced so far indicate that the first leg of the match will be played on September 26, while there is a trend at present to postpone it until next October.

Wydad was the one who took the initiative in scoring after he advanced through Ismail Al-Haddad in the 17th minute, after dodging the Royal Army defender and hitting a ball that hit his foot and changed his direction to deceive the goalkeeper and enter to network.

Hamza Al-Koudali leveled for the FAR in the 85th minute of the game, with a header that was kicked weakly, but towards the far post and hit the net.

Wydad goalkeeper Rida Teknouti was injured during the match and was substituted after receiving the FAR goal.

After the tie, Wydad scored 41 points in second place on the table, four points behind leader Raja, but played one game less.
