Tigres Unal won the CONCACAF Cup, after defeating United States champion Los Angeles FC with two goals to one.

The game’s goals began in the 61st minute of the second half, when Diego Rossi scored the advantage of the United States team before the Mexican champions regained their balance in the 72nd minute with a goal from Hugo Ayala.

Six minutes before the end of the match, veteran French striker Andre Pierre Gignac handed over the title to the Mexican champion by scoring the winning goal to end the match with a score of 2-1.

Tigres has a record for final matches in the last five editions of the CONCACAF championship, as the Mexican champion failed to win the title in the last four editions before crowning the 2020 edition for the first time in his career.

Tigres became the sixth team to qualify for the Club World Cup, to be held in Qatar in February.

Bayern Munich had qualified for the Club World Cup as European champion, Al-Ahly as African champion, Ulsan Hyundai as Asian champion, Al-Duhail Qatar as Qatar League champion and Auckland City as representative of the Oceania region.

Liverpool are the last team to win the Club World Cup after defeating the South American representative, the Brazilian team Flamengo, with an unanswered goal.

In contrast, Real Madrid is the team that won the Club World Cup the most after winning the competition in four copies, and its rival Barcelona is in second place three times.
