Ahmed Sami, Smouha’s new coach, said that what was circulated about the reasons for his resignation from Tanta’s training was “wrong”, noting that the matter was explained incorrectly.

Sami apologized for completing the technical mission of the Tanta club after only 6 days of taking over the technical direction of the team, during which he played two games against Al-Ittihad of Alexandria (1-1) and El-Entag El-Harby (lost 3-0), to take over Smouha.

During radio remarks for the “One Two” program, Sami said, “I thank Hamada Sidqi, Smouha’s former coach, as he is a great and capable coach. I respect him a lot and he did a lot with the team.”

He added: “I have my dreams and great ambitions with Smouha. I hope to put him in the right place and fulfill the club’s ambition in the next term.”

Regarding his crisis with the management of the Tanta club, he said: “The issue was misunderstood. I apologized because the Corona period weakened the team. These players will not be able to play a game every two days.”

He continued: “I saw that things will be difficult. The team needs quite a bit of time. I apologized for not completing my interest.”

Regarding Smouha’s training, he said: “Faraj Amer spoke to me after I resigned and asked me about my decision and told me that if you don’t apologize, I will not talk to you.”

He concluded: “A few hours later Amer contacted me and we agreed to train Smouha.”
