Mortada Mansour, president of the Zamalek Club, revealed that he had sent a memorandum to FIFA and the International Olympic Committee, due to the current suspension crisis by the Egyptian Olympic Committee headed by Hisham Hatab.
Murtaza Mansour was imposed with a series of sanctions, the most prominent of which was the prohibition of practicing any sporting activity for a period of four years, and his signature was not counted in economic affairs of the Zamalek Club.
Mansour launched a strong attack on Amr Al-Ganaini, head of the five-year committee in charge of the management of the Egyptian Football Association, as well as Hisham Hatab, head of the Olympic Committee, and said they are being strengthened by foreign parties.
President Zamalek confirmed that he refused to send a memorandum to FIFA or the Olympic Committee, fearing that sporting activity in Egypt would be halted.
Mansour explained that he is now forced to go to international sports because he is a president-elect according to the elections of the general assembly and he obtained the highest number of votes, more than Mahmoud Al-Khatib, president of the Al-Ahly Club.
Mortada Mansour accused Amr Al-Ganaini of corruption because of his work.
He added that he will resort to wisdom and will not guarantee rulings, but is confident in the integrity of the Egyptian judiciary and that it is not isolated and will continue to appear to attack its opponents.
Mortada Mansour confirmed that he developed Zamalek during his reign and was spending out of his own pocket at the club to achieve that global position in construction.
Mortada sent a message to state agencies that he was preventing angry Zamalek youths from taking to the streets to express his rejection of the Olympic Committee’s decisions.
In the end, he sent a message to the Minister of Youth and Sports telling him that you are a respectable man and not to be afraid, you are stronger and more honorable than others.
Mortada had filed a lawsuit against the Minister of Sports and the President of the Olympic Committee in the administrative judiciary to stop the sanctions decisions.
