Tuesday’s news clashed over the health condition of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. While US officials have confirmed that it is in critical condition, South Korea has denied the order.
In detail, US intelligence officials reported that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is in a very serious condition after undergoing surgery.
According to CNN, the United States is monitoring intelligence that the North Korean leader is very dangerous after surgery, according to a US official with direct knowledge.
The intelligence sources did not provide any additions regarding his state of health and residence.
While the US channel NBC quoted two sources as saying that the Korean leader is in a very critical condition and that he went into a coma after cardiac surgery.
As for Bloomberg, the United States is reportedly studying options for inheriting the government in North Korea after Kim’s health has deteriorated, and is likely to be his favorite to take over.
In addition, other American reports indicated that Kim Toyi was a brain.
Smoking, obesity and overwork.
In a related context, a media report in South Korea stated that Kim is receiving treatment after undergoing a cardiovascular procedure earlier this month.
The Daily NK website, which is primarily run by North Korean defectors, quoted sources within North Korea as saying Kim was recovering at a villa in Jiangsu province on the country’s east coast after undergoing a medical procedure in a hospital there on April 12.
The website report said Kim’s health had deteriorated in recent months due to smoking, obesity, and overwork.
The report also quoted a source as saying: “What I understood was that he had been suffering (from cardiovascular problems) since August, but the matter was exacerbated after his repeated visits to Mount Paektu.”
He added that Kim went to the hospital after chairing a meeting of the ruling Labor Party political office on April 11, and this was the last time the North Korean leader was seen in public.
Seoul denies
On the other hand, South Korea denied all these reports, highlighting that the North Korean leader is in good health. The Yonhap News Agency quoted government officials in Seoul as saying Tuesday that the North Korean leader “was not seriously ill.”
Kim reportedly missed her grandfather’s (Kim Il Sung) birthday on April 15, sparking speculation about her safety.
Analysts said last Friday that the absence of North Korean leader K from this important annual event renewed speculation about his health.
Last Thursday, the Korean Central News Agency reported that senior officials visited the Kim Il Sung Mausoleum at Komsosan’s Sun Palace. However, Kim’s name was not mentioned as part of the delegation, unlike in the past.
Kim also did not appear in photos published by the Rodong Shinmun newspaper, a spokesman for the ruling Labor Party.
Therefore, his alleged absence sparked speculation among experts that a 36-year-old overweight person could have health problems.
Notably, Kim was last seen in public while chairing the ruling Labor Party’s political office meeting last Saturday.
