The councilor concluded that what came in the episode was clouded by many irregularities, “where the host of the program made accusations of wasting billions without proof or document to prove these accusations, which is nothing more than a statement sent based on his personal opinion, and transmitted from some foreign newspapers without verifying its authenticity or referring to the competent authorities in the telecommunications sector, which would harm the negotiation process of a communications project. It was demonstrated to the Board during the complaint review procedures that the program provider is not restricted to the membership hours of the Media Union and has not obtained permission from the Union to participate in media activity.

The Supreme Council for Media Regulation had today examined the complaint filed by Telecom Egypt against the 90-minute program on the Al-Mehwar channel and the program’s host, Osama Kamal, and decided to approve the recommendations of the Complaints Committee regarding the irregularities that occurred. on the November 28, 2020 episode, and temporarily suspend the host of the 90-minute show.
