A group of volunteers managed to decipher the most mysterious message of the American serial killer “Zodiac”, who committed his crimes in the late 1960s.
The encrypted message of 340 signs that the still-mysterious killer sent to the San Francisco Chronicle on November 8, 1969, is by far one of the biggest secrets in this tragic story.
This newspaper reported this Friday that the team of code-breaking experts from the United States, Australia and Belgium disappointed that this mysterious letter revealed the name of the famous murderer.
Chronicle of San Francisco
David Uranczak, 46, a Virginia-based web designer who has cracked the zodiac codes since 2016, revealed that the message reads, “I hope you have a lot of fun trying to catch me. I’m not afraid of the gas chamber because it will send me to heaven faster because I own Now, many slaves will work for me. “
This is consistent with another coded Zodiac message decoded in 1969 in which the killer said he was committing his crimes with the aim of “gathering slaves for the afterlife.”
The FBI confirmed that it was aware of the decoding of the message and noted that the investigation into the series of horrific crimes committed more than 50 years ago is still ongoing.
In all, the Zodiac announced in a series of letters it sent to the San Francisco media that it had committed 37 murders, and police confirmed that at least seven people were killed by the mysterious killer.
