Adel Mustafa, a former Al Ahly player, confirmed that he was seriously injured, which was one of the main reasons for his departure from Red Castle.
Mustafa said in remarks to the Al-Thalath program on the OnTime Sports channel: “At that time, I did not exceed 21 years of age and suffered a serious injury in a match against the municipality of Al-Mahalla, which caused” paralysis “and I sat in home for 8 months. “
He added: “Many fans do not know that the reason for my departure from Al-Ahly suffered serious injury after starring in the beginning of my career with the team.”
He explained: “There was paralysis in that match for me, and they would amputate me. In the match of the two municipalities, Al-Mahalla was beaten and I put hot water on my feet with the knowledge of the team doctor at the time. We bought hot tea and we put it in a bottle to put it on my feet to make things worse after that. “
He continued: “I traveled through Germany 3 times, they told me that I would not be able to go back to soccer practice again, and in that period I used a device on my feet to be able to walk.”
He noted that after returning to Egypt, some people spoke to him to announce his retirement, and he was 21 at the time, and it was his first year in first grade.
He stressed that he preferred to remove Al-Ahly’s management embarrassment after recovering and decided to leave the club to find a team to participate with, after the difficulty of participating with Al-Ahly was confirmed because of his time level. It was not the same as the level of new deals due to that injury.
He concluded: “I spent two years after what I walked from Al-Ahly, I used to suffer with painkillers, then I went to Suez Cement and then to the Enppi team, but I don’t like to increase with that period that I spent.”
