Sayed Abdel Hafeez, director of football in the Al-Ahly club’s first team, said the preparation program for Zamalek has not changed, adding that only the match of the match has changed.

Al-Ahly was scheduled to meet Zamalek next Monday (December 28) in the fourth round of the Egyptian Premier League championship, but the Football Association Competitions Committee decided to postpone the summit and replace it with a match from Al -Ahly against Al-Ittihad, while Zamalek faces his counterpart Smouha on the same day.

Speaking to Al-Ahly’s official website, Abdel Hafeez said: “The team temporarily closed the Africa page after defeating Nigerian champion Sonideb (1-0), and is currently preparing to face Al-Ittihad from Alexandria in the league championship “.

He added: “We are looking to continue our victories in the league championship, after winning the first two rounds, especially since Al-Ittihad is a strong competitor.”

And he continued: “The team had marked its program before returning from Niger in preparation for the match against Zamalek, and this program has not changed (despite the postponement of the summit), since only the match of the match has changed, and the Al-Ahly will face a strong confrontation against Al-Ittihad that same day. “

The Al-Ahly football director concluded his remarks, noting that the Al-Ahly players have a wealth of experience that allows them to separate the African and local clashes, but the permanent goal that remains is the pursuit of victory.

It should be noted that the Al-Ahly mission returned in the early hours of Thursday from Niger, and the coaching staff preferred to give the team a rest to avoid exposing themselves to stress before facing Al-Ittihad of Alexandria next Monday in the third round of the Egyptian Premier League championship.
