A state of anxiety prevails over the English team, Liverpool, for the possibility of losing the Egyptian star in the period of preparation for the next season, and perhaps the first games of it, due to the record of the player’s call to his country.
A report in the English newspaper “Liverpool Echo” revealed, on Wednesday, that the “Reds” team is going through a great crisis due to Salah being called up to the list of the Egyptian team at the 2021 Olympic Games.
The newspaper quoted Shawqi Gharib, the coach of the Egyptian Olympic team, as saying: “The team’s coaching staff and the Egyptian Football Association have the desire to summon Mohamed Salah to the Olympic Games.”
He added: “Salah is a global player and I hope he can play with us in the Olympics.”
He continued: “When you have such a player on your team, the team’s goals will be different.”

Salah will also participate with his country’s national team when the African Cup of Nations begins next February.
This would alienate Salah from Liverpool for a long time out of the Premier League season on the road to defending the Premier League title, should the Pharaohs qualify and reserve a spot in the tournament hosted by Cameroon.
