An official source revealed the position of the Egyptian Football Association regarding Saad Samir’s contract with the Al-Ahly Club after the crisis circulated in the past few hours.
Sayed Abdel-Hafeez, football director at Al-Ahly, has stated that there is no crisis between the club and Saad, and that there is an obligation to pay their dues until a new bond is restored.
The source said in his statements to “Yalla Koura”: “The Saad Samir registration was withdrawn on January 2 for the purpose of registering Mahmoud Kahraba.”
“Al-Ahly contacted the Football Association on April 20 to obtain a letter stating that Saad Samir is entitled to the club.”
“Sayed Abdel-Hafeez contacted the Football Association on May 11 and requested a letter that Saad Samir was entitled to the club under the contract he owns.”
“The Football Association rejected the request of the football director at Al-Ahly.”
He concluded: “The Football Association was sent to Al-Ahly after that, declaring that the player is free and that his name has been removed from the system, and his registration procedures are through the second list with a new contract”.
Abdel-Hafeez stated: “Saad Samir is one of Al-Ahly’s loyal sons and one of its leaders who gave a lot to the club, and all that needs to be done is that, by signing with Kahraba, it was agreed with Saad Samir to remove his name listed due to Achilles tendon surgery. “
A source close to Saad Samir said in previous statements to “Yalla Koura”: “There are no problems between Saad Samir and anyone at the club, and the player appreciates the value of the Al-Ahly Club.”
