A responsible source behind the scenes revealed the resignation of Abdel Zahir El Sakka as sports director of the Egyptian club Al-Port Said.
Al-Sakka had submitted his resignation in the last hours of his post at the Egyptian club, and said in his statement that the resignation was due to personal circumstances.
A source said in his remarks to “Yalla Koura” that there were attempts by the leaders of the Egyptian club to have Al-Sakka reverse his decision and join the team in the Al-Ahly match.
The source indicated that Abdel Zahir insisted on resigning and apologized to the Al-Masry board of directors for not continuing in his position.
The source confirmed that Abd al-Zahir al-Sakka resigned from his position due to a dispute with Tariq al-Ashry, the team’s technical director, due to the coach’s frequent appearance in the media and criticism of the Association of Soccer, although the latter cooperated significantly with Al-Masry in the recent crisis.
Al-Masry technical director Tariq Al-Ashry addressed the media and confirmed that the results of the medical swabs had not arrived for his team before Al-Ahly’s match, while Walid Al-Attar, the director Executive of the Football Association, confirmed that he had sent it to Abdul Zahir Al-Sakka.
Al-Masry is preparing to face Al-Ahly today, Saturday, in round 23 of the Premier League competition.
